Common Questions About Therapy
How long are sessions?
Sessions are 50 minutes long.
What happens in the first session?
We believe a strong therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change. From the moment you walk through our door, our goal is to help you feel at ease. We'll take time to get to know you, explain confidentiality, answer any questions you may have, and begin exploring what brought you to therapy.
How often will we meet?
This is a decision we’ll make together. We typically recommend new clients start with weekly sessions to help build a strong therapeutic connection. That said, we understand therapy is a meaningful investment of both time and money, and we’ll take those factors into account as we move forward.
What if I need to cancel?
When you book a session, that time is set aside just for you. We kindly ask for at least 48 hours notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours notice will be charged the full session fee.
Do you take insurance or Medicare?
At this time, we do not accept insurance or Medicare. However, we’re happy to provide a superbill that you can submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement. We recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand what out-of-network benefits they offer.
Do you offer a sliding scale or reduced fee?
As a new practice, we’re not able to offer a sliding scale or reduced fees at this time. We understand that therapy is a significant investment, and we’re committed to being upfront and clear about costs from the start.
How do I pay?
As part of the intake process, we ask that you complete a credit card authorization form. The card you provide will be securely stored and automatically charged after each session.
